Sales tax incentive agreement in talks for Grainger industrial supply company of Minooka

The Minooka Village Board at a recent Committee of the Whole meeting discussed the idea of enacting a sales tax incentive agreement with Grainger industrial supply company.

The deal, if approved, aims to establish a 50/50 rebate to the company and to the village through 2041.

Village Administrator Dan Duffy had this to say.

Grainger is looking to expand its existing warehouse, located at 701 Grainger Way, in Minooka.

Duffy spoke of why representatives for Grainger are seeking a sales tax incentive agreement.

In other developments, the village is looking into amending an ordinance regulating raffles.

Duffy made mention of the village board discussing this topic next month.

A draft ordinance is currently being reviewed by the village’s attorney.
