Coming and going: New Minooka trustee seated as village clerk looks to resign

The Minooka Village Board of Trustees underwent a bit of a facelift with the appointment of Ric Offerman as trustee and the resignation of Kristi Lamontagna as village clerk at Tuesday’s meeting.

Lamontagna, while present for the meeting, wants to step down to pursue new opportunities. She had this to say.

Village Administrator Dan Duffy gave thanks to Lamontagna for her service to the village.

Lamontagna started working as a records clerk for the Minooka Police Department in 2013. A short time later, she was appointed as village clerk for the Minooka Village Board.

Lamontagna’s last day is Sept. 6.

Also at the meeting, Lamontagna administered the oath of office for Offerman, who has previous experience serving the Minooka Village Board dating back to the early 90s.

Offerman spoke of why he’s interested in the appointment to the board.

Offerman will fill a four-year seat left vacant last month by Dave Deahl. His term is set to expire in 2021.
