Roadwork will begin in the United City of Yorkville at the intersection of Route 47 and Wrigley Drive beginning the week of Sept. 26 and continue through November.
That work will consist of the installation of traffic signals and milling and resurfacing of Route 47 in the vicinity of the intersection, officials said.
The city is contracting with Geneva Construction to complete the roadwork, and will pay for these services through an economic development grant funded through the state.
Yorkville officials said cooperation and patience are needed during construction.
